BioWooEB participation in the 8th International Renewable Energy Congress (IREC 2017)

The 8th International Renewable Energy Congress (IREC) was held in Amman, Jordan from 21 to 23 March 2017. This year, more than 150 participants were gathered including researchers, academics, scientists and industrialists from around the world working in the field of renewable energy sources. The topics covered were bout: energy from biomass, solar thermal energy, photovoltaic energy, wind energy, etc.

Bambara Linda D. is a doctoral student from Burkina Faso co-directed by Didier Anciaux and Joël Blin. She carries out a joint thesis between the Laboratory biomass, energy and biofuels (LBEB) from 2iE and the Laboratory of Industrial Engineering, Production and Maintenance (LGIPM) from University of Lorraine, in partnership with CIRAD via BioWooEB Research Unit. She participated in this congress with an oral presentation of an article written as part of her thesis work.

Her article, "Optimization of Balanites aegyptiaca seeds supply chain for biofuel production in West Africa sahelian regions" was awarded with Best Paper Award for the special session "Optimization of renewable energy resources". This award was given to all authors because of the quality of the article presented.
