Activities on Bioenergies are conducted at different scales, from the laboratory to the semi-industrial pilot, thanks to dedicated research facilities. Existing devices related to sampling, characterization and analysis make it possible to quantify and qualify biomass and all the by-products (solid, liquid, gaseous) resulting from the thermochemical conversion processes, such as combustion, gasification or pyrolysis.

Our 600 m² energy platform houses numerous R&D pilots on a semi-industrial scale for thermochemical conversion of biomass, such as pyrolysis, torrefaction, combustion or gasification. Studies on this rather large scale (10 to 100 kWth) make it possible to predict how the future innovative industrial biomass conversion processes will behave.
