Sawing and machining workshop

From logs and sawn timbers, wood samples are produced by the sawing and machining workshop to feed our wood laboratories (anatomy, physics, mechanics, natural durability, chemistry…). The workshop has all necessary woodworking machines to produce all types of wood products and samples from both tropical and temperate species.
Carpentry workshop
Conventional joinery machines, band saws and circular saws, specific devices to produce sawn products and wood disks from short length and small diameter logs. Small machines to produce small wood specimen from small overall dimensions wood blocks.
Gluing workshop
Veneering press to produce plywood panels, press to produce glued laminated timber beams in order to test glues supplied by manufacturers and glueability of tropical wood species.
Wood kilns
Wood dry kilns 3 m3 in capacity. This kilns allows building various drying programs appropriated to various wood species.
