Technical diagnosis of processes for biomass pyrolysis and gasification

Through its knowledge of the processes involved, CIRAD has developed skills in collecting, sampling and analysing products arising from pyrolysis and gasification.

This skill is essential for assessing the functioning of a reactor, diagnosing defects and optimizing processes. It also makes it possible to measure the potential environmental impacts of processes. A portable sampling line has been especially designed for the in situ analysis of permanent gases and sampling of condensable products. These skills have been applied with private enterprises in France, Europe, Brazil and China.
